Director of Agricultural Technologies
Dr. Christine Murray is a Co-chair of SPARK 2017 and has brought her experience, knowledge and networks from her work as the Director of Agricultural Technologies, at Alberta Innovates, Bio Sector to the shared AI and ERA vision for the conference. She completed her Ph.D. in the Dept. of Horticulture, University of Guelph and came to Alberta as a research scientist with Alberta Agriculture. She went on to lead agricultural research as Director of the Crop Diversification Centre (CDC) South in Brooks and then CDC North in Edmonton. She joined Alberta Innovates Bio Solutions in 2010 and then became part of the consolidated Alberta Innovates in 2016. Her work focuses on development and innovation of new, advanced products and technologies from biomass feedstocks.
