|Manager, Processing Technologies
Harold Krenkel is the Manager of the Processing Technologies group at InnoTech Alberta. InnoTech Alberta is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alberta Innovates and has a long and proud history transforming the energy, agriculture, forestry and manufacturing sectors. InnoTech Alberta has evolved into one of Canada’s premier applied research organizations working with clients from around the world to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges. The organizations multidisciplinary, cross-sector teams offer a diversified range of scientific, engineering and technological research and testing capabilities, and the facilities to support technology scale-up.
The Processing Technologies group carries out applied research activities for a number of sectors with projects in the areas of process optimization, reliability, new value-added products, and industrial sensor development. InnoTech Alberta will be the operator of the Alberta Carbon Conversion Technology Centre in Calgary, Alberta when it becomes operational in 2018.
Mr. Krenkel has been with the organization since 2003 when it was Alberta Research Council and subsequently Alberta Innovates – Technology Futures. His past projects have included mined oil sands extraction, waste water treatment, and heavy oil upgrading. His previous experience has been in international plant operations and project management in the waste treatment industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta and is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta.
